Vibrant and fun with creativity and community at the heart. Expect Contemporary Art and Design, price points that vary from £2 to £250. The stalls are inspiring, considered and our makers love a good chat and feel energised from being around other makers. Our markets are a little different, by hosting weekly calls and a group chat, we place you and your experience at the centre, which supports you in showcasing your work to the fullest.
Our makers markets are curated to suit our brand values and aesthetic, like an independent shop or department store our curation is selected to fit within the ELC style and values, showcasing considered, contemporary and high spec, art, craft and design.
-
Visual Identity
Your work, the language you use on socials, your photography and packaging all play a part in the market experience, we look for a consistent voice throughout.
Your Work
Unique to a high spec and is consistent in style. It is clear on your website and social platforms what you will bring to the market.
You’re work would sit comfortably in an independent lifestyle store, ones we find inspiring include Idaho, Earl of East and Berylune.
Your Social Platforms
You actively use social platforms to promote your work. Your imagery and words are engaging and inspirational, you love to share what you do and engage with your audience. We use social media to promote our events and ask you to do the same, proactively sharing gives us all the best chance of reaching our audiences.

About the venue
Our Edinburgh Makers Markets are hosted in the Heart of the city at Fruitmarket Gallery. A two minute walk from Waverley Station. A gallery with an extraordinary roster of contemporary exhibits, guest speakers, workshops and events. Our market will take place on the ground floor in The Warehouse, next door to the cafe. To align with Fruitmarkets values this is a Free entry event, which attracts both the galleries community as well as tourists visiting the city in search of artisan pieces to remind them of their time in Edinburgh. This space is quite different from our others, with space for 30 tables, it is our most intimate event.
